Because it is somewhat rare that I find an abstract artist that truly peeks my interest I get super hype when I do and Heather Day is an abstract artist that I’m very much a fan of. Besides her excellent use of different contrasting textures I think what really attracts me to her work is her use of COLOR. Her color combinations are so visually and aesthetically pleasing to me that it’s not like other abstract work where I find myself trying to see a face in it and try and guess and make it something that it’s not. I completely except her work for what it is and just enjoy her precision in her use of stroke, texture, and color.
